Cette technologie pr\u00e9sente deux avantages majeurs pour le traitement des mat\u00e9riaux :<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette \u00e9chelle de temps extr\u00eamement courte, m\u00eame avec une puissance moyenne de quelques watts, des pics de puissance atteignant le gigawatt sont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s. Aucune mati\u00e8re ne peut r\u00e9sister \u00e0 une telle \u00e9nergie, ce qui permet de travailler de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante du mat\u00e9riau. Contrairement aux syst\u00e8mes \u00e0 impulsions plus longues, ici, le mat\u00e9riau n&rsquo;est pas chauff\u00e9 ni fondu ; il passe directement de l&rsquo;\u00e9tat solide \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat gazeux, s&rsquo;\u00e9vaporant par rupture des liaisons \u00e9lectroniques. Ce processus est souvent d\u00e9sign\u00e9 sous le terme d&rsquo;\u00ab ablation \u00e0 froid \u00bb et permet d&rsquo;\u00e9viter une influence thermique sur le mat\u00e9riau restant et l&rsquo;apparition de fusion ind\u00e9finie.<\/p>\n<p>Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne, appel\u00e9 sublimation, est un facteur cl\u00e9 pour la haute pr\u00e9cision du <strong>micro-usinage par laser
