Hardware module GL.plasma

Hardwaremodul GL.plasma

For laser drilling and precision cutting via laser radiation, the material is ionized by the added radiation energy. This creates optical process emissions. This creates optical process emissions.

The GL.plasma module can use the process signal for various purposes. Power fluctuations can be detected through the mutual dependence of the signal level and the local irradiance of the laser. These are depending on the cleanliness of the focusing optics and the protective glass. This allows the necessary cleaning intervals to be determined in series production.

Knowledge of the process emissions can reduce development time for configurations and increase the efficiency of the drilling program.

The GL.plasma module is attached to the housing of the GL.optifix.
