LASER MICRO MACHINING
The laser offers a highly flexible tool for the manufacturing of deep engraving. Removal is performed on the basis of conventional CAD datasets, allowing programs to be created quickly. Since a tool with a negative of the geometry is not required (as is the case with form EDM), this manufacturing step is eliminated and the laser can be used economically even for small batches or frequently changing geometries. The structure size is merely limited by the beam diameter, which can be focussed to within a few thousandths of a millimetre with corresponding optics.

In addition to the construction of micro laser conditioning attachments and the development of the conditioning processes, the GFH offers the job shop manufacturing of specific components.

We can apply nearly all materials using different ray sources with wavelengths of 1064nm, 532nm and 355nm. The exactness of the generated structures is in the lower range of µm and the application ranges go from the easy laser engraving up to complex 3D- micro structuring. Concave as well as convex components can be structured by the application of multi- axle positioning devices.
The production of special surface topographies on rub matching also belongs to our achievements. The purpose in most cases is to influence the frictional behaviour and the wearing quality by a suitable surface geometry. To introduce friction-minimising and life span-extending topographies in complicated surfaces, e.g. with cylinder surface, is as practicable as the specific adjusting of the Stick-Slip-Effect.
